| Revelation of China’s mystic J-23 that it dare not make public, a fighter jet able to kill F-22 easily |
America’s F-22 has so far been the best fifth-generation fighter jet without any rival in the world.
Russia’s Su-27 and Su-30 can barely be a rival to it in maneuverability while Europe’s Typhoon and Rafale fighter jets have barely comparable electronic equipment when their radars are replaced by phased array radars.
But those fighters are all inferior to F-22 in other functions and performance, especially undetectability. Their radars cannot detect F-22 until it is within 20 km.
According to a Western expert’s article, in developing its stealth fighters, China will not adopt Russian approach in developing T-50 but will try to copy F-22.
That is the way China is developing J-23, its next generation fighter jet. J-23 is similar to F-22 in the shape of its tail wings to achieve a balance between undetectability and maneuverability.
Such design of V-shape tail wings greatly improves the fighter’s undetectability and also facilitates reducing weight and drag, but the flight control system will be very complicated.
